Practical Advice for Diversity and Inclusion with Gergo Safar.
Why are organisations still struggling with diversity and inclusions, and what can we do about it? Our fifthteenth episode on The BTN Podcast is with Gergo Safar, Learning & Development Manager at Vodafone, on the importance of diversity and inclusion in the workplace, as well as society. He discusses why, although organisation's intentions may be genuine, and there is a consensus in the urgency to do something, with ambitions (which eventually become targets) being set in many cases, organisations make little progress in D&I. Gergo provides 5 pieces of practical advice to counter these issues. “You can only perform at your best if you can bring your whole self to work, and if you have an inclusive workplace, then people can feel free to bring their whole self to work.” Links: UK Government research ‘Women on Boards’ (2011), mentioned how it will take over 70 to achieve gender-balanced boardrooms.
